The Hingham Vocal Studio

Sue Moore is a creative with over 25 years of experience working in the arts.  She was previously the Artistic Director of W11 Opera & has worked with people of all ages & abilities, professional & amateur, from 4 to 90+ years, including people living with dementia & their carers, people who have experienced homelessness & SEND groups.

At The Hingham Vocal Studio she runs a private teaching practise which includes promoting good vocal health, vocal technique, drama training for singers, projection/spoken voice, workshops, masterclasses & performance opportunities.  All abilities welcome!

We are always happy to discuss performance opportunities either for the Ignite Music professional performers, The Hingham Vocal Studio students, or a combined community project!  Get in touch if you would like to know more!  

Ignite Music offers workshops for young people of all ages.  These are run by our Artistic Director, Sue Moore, who has designed a series of one day, three day and five day workshops for schools, youth or community groups or families. SUE'S PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS

WORKSHOP FORMATS

One Hour Workshop: Performance Intro or Performance Development - £500

  • 30-35 participants
  • Singing, Drama, Improvisation, Stage Craft, Devising, Rehearsal & Performance
  • Create a mini company with Artistic Director, Sue Moore
  • Can be tailored to your group’s ability - from novice to advanced
  • By the end of the session the group will have warmed up physically & vocally, learnt the basic rules of stagecraft, created characters & a setting for their performance, learnt a short extract of music as well as staged and performed that extract 
  • We require a large, quiet space, a piano or full sized keyboard, a projector & screen for this workshop

Three Day Intensive Workshop Production: Mini Production - £1500

  • 30-35 participants
  • Singing, Drama, Improvisation, Stage Craft, Devising, Rehearsal & Performance
  • Create a mini company with Artistic Director, Sue Moore & a tailored team
  • Can be tailored to your group’s ability - from novice to advanced
  • By the end of the three days the participants will have warmed up physically & vocally, learnt the basic rules of stagecraft, created characters & a setting for their performance, devised and written elements of their final performance, rehearsed and memorised music and staging including dialogue and song and given a final performance of the piece for families and friends (20 mins)

Five Day Workshop Production: Mini Production - £3000 to £5000

  • Up to 70 participants
  • Singing, Drama, Improvisation, Stage Craft, Devising, Rehearsal & Performance
  • Create a mini company with Artistic Director, Sue Moore & a tailored team
  • Can be tailored to your group’s ability - from novice to advanced
  • By the end of the three days the participants will have warmed up physically & vocally, learnt the basic rules of stagecraft, created characters & a setting for their performance, devised and written elements of their final performance, rehearsed and memorised music and staging including dialogue and song and given a final performance of the piece for families and friends (30-40 mins)

Co-Creation Leadership Training - £750 to £1500

  • 5-10 participants
  • To help teachers & leaders to build a tool-belt of skills & techniques to co-create performances & productions with their group
  • These workshops can range from 1/2 day to 5 days, depending on your needs & availability. They can also be intensive or weekly/fortnightly sessions spread across a term
  • At the end of the sessions participants will have a portfolio of warm up exercises, workshop activities as well as skills to build up and devise a production with a group including song, music, writing text & melody, drama, dialogue, narration, puppetry, costume & set design, staging, rehearsing and performance. Also how singing, music & drama can be incorporated into daily activities, enhancing other subjects & activities 

Commissioning Projects, Pieces or Productions - £1500 to £10,000

  • Creating a tailored project, piece or production for you & your participants
  • These can be written & delivered for your use or they can also be produced by the Ignite Creative Team
  • For up to 70 participants
  • Final piece ranging from 20 mins to 1hr

Ignite workshops are suitable for young people of all ages.   

All our workshop are run by two members of our  team and all leaders are DBS checked and trained under the guidelines of our safeguarding policy.
